With the 2006 Mirror we have taken full advantage of the varietal components. Although not the largest percentage, the Cabernet Sauvignon provides the foundation of ripe round tannin and precise acidity on which the wine is built. The Syrah fills in the mid-palate of the wine creating volume and balance from front to back. Finally the Petit Verdot speaks volumes in small percentages with beautiful color, generous tannin and a distinctive aromatic contribution of violets and dried herbs. The wines were fermented individually and aged in barrel for six months prior to blending. They were then returned to barrel and aged for an additional 12 months prior to bottling. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered and was allowed to rest in bottle for 12 months prior to release.
