Ryan Messina, Owner/Tasting Room Manager, ryan@jadavineyard.com
We are proud and lucky to have a formally trained chef on staff at Jada. She is not only family, but, as a graduate of the Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, with over 10 years experience working as a banquet chef at the famous Palm Beach Breakers Hotel as well as overseeing two restaurants at Walt Disney World's Swan and Dolphin resort, she is the skilled-hand behind the wine pairings for which we have become so well-known. The recipes we share in our JAC shipments all come from her sweat and tears in the kitchen, tasting and re-tasting to ensure she offers a perfect pairing for our wine club members to enjoy in their own kitchens. She has been working in the "front of the house" for 4 years now and is currently managing the tasting room and merchandise as well as overseeing the wine allotments our club members receive twice a year. Don't be surprised, however, if you catch her doing a punch-down or jumping on the fork-lift to move a palette of wine. She is all things here at Jada and we love her all the more for it.

After 10 years of living in San Francisco, we finally convinced Joshua, a graduate of Stanford University, to leave those Accounting spreadsheets behind and get his hands dirty on the Production side of the Jada equation. Like Ryan, he is a "Jack of all trades" with a focus on the finances, production, and heading up our marketing efforts. Besides never finding quite enough space between himself and those spreadesheets, his remaining time is spent assisting David Galzignato in the winemaking. With David's tutelage, he hopes to one day make the best Mouvedre in California. We look forward to tasting that!
Elizabeth Schumann, Tasting Room Attendant
One of the newest additions to the Jada team, Elizabeth comes to us after having fine-tuned her skills in the wine industry at WIne Country Pack & Ship and Opolo Vineyards. Whether it is updating wine club (JAC) memberships or walking customers through the different varietals in our blends, Elizabeth''s knowledge and professionalism are evident in everything she does. We are glad to welcome her on-board!
Adam Koide, Tasting Room Attendant
Our part-time "guy" and "weekend warrior", Adam has been with us, since the beginning in various capacities. From changing air filters to smoothing out the parking lot, Adam is our own Mr. Fix-it and an invaluable presence in the tasting room. His smile alone is reason enough to come to Jada. Congratulations on the new baby, Adam!
Jen Barnett, Tasting Room Attendant
One of our "part-timers", Jen is the newest and youngest addition to the Jada team. A graduate of Templeton High, Jen represents a new generation steeped and reared in Paso wine country. Another Opolo Vineyard treasure, we look forward to educating Jen in all things Jada!
Kris Thompson, Tasting Room Attendant
Kris joins us after a successful tenure with Denner Vineyard. She came highly recommended and she has not let us down. With over 25 years in advertising and her own small vineyard to boot, Kris is not only one of our most experienced Tasting Room Attendants, we also consider her our "resident concierge". Whether it is restaurants, local wine shops, gift shops, or hotels, Kris is always ready with a list - literally - of the best places in San Luis Obispo County. Customers visiting the area for the first time or looking for local "finds" that are off-the-beaten path would be wise to avail themselves of Kris's extensive knowledge of all things Paso.

David is the man behind what makes the wine shine. A graduate from UC-Davis's viticulture and enology programs, David comes to us from Charles Krug, where he developed and oversaw their reserve program. He has also been the winemaker at such notable boutique wineriers as Paradux, Lewis Cellars, and Mark David Winery. David is a "Bordeaux Master" with a special interest in Rhones and we continue to be impressed with his blending talents. We look forward to the continued expression of these passions in our wines.
